Rebooking: Filtering, Exporting, Booking
Search postings precisely, export them as CSV, and rebook single entries or in bulk – up to 500 at once.
With Rebooking, you search through all transactions posted in bexio (or Run My Accounts), export them as CSV, and – most importantly – rebook them: individually or in bulk, up to 500 transactions at once.
An example: after a faulty CSV import, hundreds of postings ended up on the wrong account. You filter them, select them all, and rebook them to the correct account in a single step – the original postings stay untouched.
Especially useful when many incorrect CSV imports have been posted, or to prepare closings and audits. The view is shown as an account statement (ledger view), not as a journal entry.
1. Filter and search
Using Filter & search, you narrow down the transactions – among others by:
- Account number(s), account name(s), or account type(s)
- Date (from/to)
- Amount in CHF or in the transaction currency
- Description or reference
- a general full-text search
More filters reveals additional criteria; Reset clears the filters.
2. Export
You export the found or selected transactions via Export as CSV – with date, account, description, currency, amount (foreign currency and CHF), exchange rate, and more.
3. Rebook
Select one or more transactions and click Edit. Currently, changing the account is supported: in a bulk edit, all selected transactions are posted to the chosen account. With Prepare changes, Arcarius creates the entries.
In the booking preview, you check the debit and credit account, description, and amount. For each rebooking you can enable “Reversal needed?” – the reversal then happens automatically on the following day. If everything fits, you post via Post in your accounting system.
Important: existing postings are not deleted or modified – Arcarius creates new manual postings. Rebookings are made exclusively in CHF.
History
Under History you see all rebookings with their status, and you can resume or discard running ones if needed.
Who can rebook?
Preparing and posting rebookings requires the Post bookings permission.
