Sending messages while Arcarius is working

You don’t have to wait for Arcarius to finish. If something comes to mind while a task is running – a hint, a correction, another job – just write it. You decide whether it should feed into the work in progress or wait until afterwards. This is available in One-on-One and, if you use projects, in project chats as well.

Your three options

What you want	How to do it

When in doubt, use Enter. That is the normal case and fits almost anything related to the current task.

Adding a note mid-task

Write your message and press Enter. It appears in the conversation right away – slightly dimmed, because it is still waiting. Arcarius finishes the step currently in progress and then takes your message over at the next clean break.

The important part: the work done so far is not lost. Arcarius does not start over. It keeps everything it has already checked and found out, and continues with your addition. That is exactly what this gesture is for.

Typical cases:

• “Please include the prior year as well.”
• “Limit this to the Swiss entities.”
• “Yesterday’s receipt does not belong in this analysis.”
• “While you’re at it: take a look at the open receivables.”

Queuing something for later

Sometimes your message has nothing to do with the running task and is simply the next job. In that case press Cmd + Enter (Mac) or Ctrl + Enter (Windows). The message goes into the queue above the input field and is processed once the current task is fully complete.

This lets you line up several jobs in a row without waiting for each one to finish.

Managing the queue

As soon as something is waiting, you’ll see the queue directly above the input field. Click it to expand.

Status	Meaning
Up next	Runs first once the current job is done
Later	Follows in the order shown
Processing now	Arcarius has just taken the message over
Blocked	The message cannot start right now, for example because an approval is pending

For every waiting message you can:

• Edit – change the text as long as the message is not being processed yet
• Pull forward – have a queued message taken over at the next break after all
• Remove from queue – discard the message

A chat’s queue holds up to 20 messages. If it is full, remove one before adding another.

If you want to stop instead

Click Stop agent to end the running task. Everything that happened up to that point stays visible: you can see the steps Arcarius already worked through – even after reloading the page. You can then simply start a new request.

Alternatively you can prioritize a new request directly: Start new request ends the current run and begins with your message immediately.

Credits

Every message Arcarius takes over is a job of its own and consumes credits – including one that arrives in the middle of a running task. A message that only sits in the queue and that you remove again costs nothing. You can see your actual consumption in credit reporting.

Good to know

The order of your messages is always preserved – Arcarius works through them in the order you see in the queue. A note doesn’t replace a clear brief: even mid-task, describe specifically what Arcarius should take into account. And the Closing Agent doesn’t offer this; there you work step by step through the given areas.
