Set instructions for Arcarius

Define how Arcarius should work for your organization, a company, or for you personally.

Instructions let you deliberately define how Arcarius should work and respond. For example, you can specify the language, presentation, or an internal way of working.

Instructions are included with Arcarius Plus. If the subscription ends, they remain saved and become available again after reactivation.

Choose the right level

If the instruction should … Use …
apply to every company in your organization Organization instructions
apply only to a specific company Company instructions
affect only your own work with Arcarius Personal preferences

Organization instructions apply to every company in the organization. Company instructions add guidance for one company. Personal preferences apply only to your own interactions and executions.

Set personal preferences

  1. Open your personal settings.
  2. Select Your preferences.
  3. Describe how Arcarius should work with you.
  4. Save your changes.

Set instructions for a company

  1. Open the relevant company.
  2. Go to Settings → Arcarius → Instructions.
  3. Add the instructions for this company.
  4. Save your changes.

You need permission to manage the company’s settings.

Set instructions for the organization

  1. Open the organization area.
  2. Go to Settings → Instructions for Arcarius.
  3. Enter the guidance that should apply across all companies.
  4. Save your changes.

Organization owners and organization admins can change these instructions. The instructions are visible within company settings but cannot be edited there.

Write useful instructions

Keep instructions short and specific. For example:

  • “Keep answers brief and in English.”
  • “Always show figures in tables for management reports.”
  • “Start booking texts with the responsible person’s initials.”

Avoid conflicting or overly broad guidance. Describe the desired result instead of prescribing every individual step.

If instructions conflict

Organization instructions continue to apply when a company adds its own instructions. Company instructions take priority over personal preferences.

For a one-time exception, state your request clearly in the current chat. Arcarius will point out a conflict when the exception is not compatible with higher-level guidance.

Important: Instructions do not bypass safety rules, permissions, or required approvals.

Instructions or Memory?

Set instructions when Arcarius should follow a deliberately defined rule. Arcarius creates Memory automatically when helpful, longer-term context emerges from your work together. You can review and delete saved entries or explicitly ask Arcarius to remember something when needed.
