Company settings contain the foundations Arcarius uses for one specific company. Open the company and select Settings. Alternatively, go to Settings → Organization → Companies and open the settings for the company you need.
With bexio, you normally do not enter this information manually. When you connect bexio, Arcarius imports the available company and accounting information automatically through the connection you approve in bexio. Review the imported values and only adjust what should be different in Arcarius.
Under General, you will find details such as:
These details are reused in several modules, including Reporting. Keep them current. Changes in Arcarius do not automatically change the master data in your accounting system.
If the respective features are available for the company, the Arcarius tab contains:
These settings do not change accounting data. They control which context Arcarius uses and which actions require approval or are blocked.
Under Accounting, review the settings Arcarius uses to classify and analyze your data:
For a connected bexio company, you approve access directly in bexio. You do not enter a bexio API key in Arcarius. If the connection needs to be renewed, Arcarius shows a notice; the steps are explained in Connect and reconnect bexio.
For Run My Accounts, the client name and API key are part of the technical connection. See Connect Run My Accounts for how to set up and renew them.
If you change the financial year or another important accounting foundation, Arcarius may need to rebuild affected data. Wait for the update to finish before continuing in another module.
The Account mapping assigns the accounts from your bookkeeping to the balance sheet and income statement positions used by Arcarius.
Until the mapping has been confirmed, Arcarius directs you to this review before opening the specialist modules. This prevents reports or closes from using unchecked assignments.
If your chart of accounts changes later, Arcarius may ask for another review. You do not need to rebuild the entire mapping regularly – focus on the changes Arcarius marks.
For a company using Run My Accounts, an additional VAT mapping section is shown. There you review how RMA tax keys and VAT accounts are assigned in Arcarius. See Connect Run My Accounts for detailed guidance.
Your organization controls who may edit master data, accounting information, VAT, or the account mapping under Collaboration & permissions. Without the corresponding permission, you can still view the information but cannot change it.
